I thought that had something to do with the story... Might be interesting, though!

Gandara, The moon fortress looks really sexy. Really looking forward to playing that mission. I wonder whether we'll have to take it over or defend it.

Anyone else notice "The Lair of The Forgotten"? Looks like we may see the return of the serpent people.

There's a mission outpost near the hidden city, guessing the city is the area where that mission takes place.

It's a pretty safe bet that "Gandara the Moon Fortress" is that floating castle image everyone keeps referring to.

And yes, anything posted anywhere (including in-game images) can fall under copywrite infringment. I'd gladly take it down if anet had issue with it.

It all looks very dry, how in Elona is a Snowman supposed to survive? xD

I hope they have managed to strike the same balance of different landscapes like they did in Factions.

I most certainly hope they have not. Factions was 50% Slum, 25% Slum Entrance and Exit, 20% Slum Underground and 5% other :P
Joking aside, that map gives a nice overview and really helps a lot to see how much space the tutorial is soaking up in comparison to the rest of the map.

Aha, so the area to the Northwest is the Crystal Desert!

As for general impression of the map... there are either lots of small areas (like Kaineng Docks, etc) in Factions or the map is really, really huge... I hope the latter, because I liked the big areas in Prophecies, such as The Falls, Dragon's Gullet and Mineral Springs instead of the tight patrol-packed areas in Factions...

It's not Gandara. They showed the Gandara concept art in the PC Gamer article, it's a fortified port city built on an island (although the floating building might be the small building off the eastern shore of Gandara). I think the most likely candidates for the floating building are the Sunspear Sanctuary and Dasha Vestibule, which, judgeing from the map, are either underground or floating.
